New York State Workers' Compensation Law
We handle both types of workers' comepensation claims: accidental injury and occupational disease.
What we do for our workers' compensation clients includes, but is not limited to:
- Counseling our clients about their rights and responsibilites with respect to their workers' compensation cases
- Advising our clients about all potential benefits available through Workers' Compensation and other sources, including Unemployment Insurance, Social Security, and other benefits
- Communicating and interacting with the Workers' Compensation Board and insurance company on our clients' behalf
- Contacting all your medical providers to secure relevant medical records
- Verifying that our clients receive the proper benefit amount in a timely manner
- Preparing clients for all court appearances
- Assertively advocating for our clients at all court appearances, including cross-examining
defense witnesses and insurance company medical examiners - Handling appeals and related litigation
- Negotiating lump sum and other settlements
